Outpatient / Inpatient
Many procedures at Atrium Plastic Surgery are performed on an
outpatient basis, but some will require an overnight stay in the hospital. The care of
plastic surgery inpatients is implemented by an experienced staff of nurses who are
familiar with your particular needs and concerns.
Atrium Plastic Surgery combines the privacy of a separate, private
facility while maintaining the safety and direct proximity to a major medical center.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Patients who desire absolute confidentiality, will be pleased with
the mechanisms in place to assure their privacy. Pre-registration and preoperative testing are completed on the first floor of The Atrium in a private and timely manner. If
confidentiality is desired, you may register under an assumed name. The entire staff, from
pre-admission through discharge, is specially trained to respect your privacy.
Registration / Waiting
Atrium Plastic Surgery registration is located on the first floor of The Atrium. Routine lab work, as requested by your physician, will be completed several
days prior to your procedure. Your physician may also schedule an EKG or other tests at
this time. Operating rooms and recovery suites are on the fourth floor of The Atrium.
Waiting rooms are located on both floors for your convenience. One family member may stay
with you, except during the operative procedure.
Following surgery, you will be taken to a pleasant recovery room where
you and your family may relax until time of discharge.
How to get here
Atrium Plastic Surgery is located on the first and fourth floors of
The Atrium, in a separate building on the Centennial Medical Center campus. Located on the fourth floor is a fully equipped outpatient and inpatient surgical facility with dedicated plastic surgeons and anesthesia services.
Centrally located on the first floor are facilities for:
- Registration
- Preoperative Testing
- Library for Patient Education (providing videos and reference materials)
- Hair Salon (for special hair care needs following face lift and other procedures)
- Massage Therapy (by a certified massage therapist)
- Consultation (with the only board certified plastic surgery nurse in middle Tennessee)
Financial Arrangements
In the event your procedure is not covered by medical insurance,
payment for services is required upon registration. Centennial Medical Center offers flat rate package prices for cosmetic surgical procedures which are regionally competitive and comparable to office-based fees. Flat rate cosmetic pricing is also available with Anesthesia Medical Group, which delivers anesthesia services to Atrium Plastic Surgery. Every effort will be made to provide cost-effective treatment.
